It is understood that the new ship pilotage project of Qingdao Port Pilot Station is jointly developed by Qingdao Port Pilot Station and Jimei University in Xiamen. The system adopts a small-sized, full-featured, high-tech, convenient operation smart phone, relying on GPRS or 3G Internet access, GPS and other ship data acquisition forms, obtaining AIS signals for ship positioning, quickly obtaining ship information, and enhancing dispatching work. Scientific, improve the efficiency of piloting operations, and enable pilots or other users to store and query relevant navigation information anytime, anywhere. For example, it is possible to query real-time tidal information, ship dynamics, etc., which is conducive to pilot safety, and facilitates the ship agent or shipowner to know the dynamic and static information of the ship in real time, so that the navigation information can be disclosed while saving a lot of human and material resources for modern science. Pilot management provides strong technical support.
The total budget of the project is 3.57 million yuan. The system will be commissioned on January 1 this year. After more than half a year of trial operation, the Qingdao Port Pilot Station achieved a pilot accident. Practice has proved that the system application provides guarantee for pilot safety, and effectively improves work efficiency and achieves good economic and social benefits.
