Taiwan's machine tool companies plan to increase investment in 2012

Recently, the person in charge of the Taiwan Machinery Industry Association stated that the machine tool industry in Taiwan, China, is still promising in 2012, and the annual growth rate is expected to reach a level of about 10%. The wave of transfer orders and exchanges triggered by flooding in Thailand is expected to show up in the first quarter of 2012. As long as the European debt crisis can be controlled, exports of Taiwan's machine tools and parts industries will still be able to grow steadily next year. Taiwan's leading machine tool companies including Youjia, Shanghai, Chengtai, Aachen and Xieyi Machinery all plan to increase investment in 2012. The above five companies will increase their investment to NT$ 8.15 billion.

In order to realize the goal of achieving NT$100 billion in annual business revenue by 2018, the UGA Group plans to invest US$350 million (approximately NT$10 billion) in the next two years and expand its plant on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and overseas. Promote mergers and acquisitions or joint ventures abroad.

In addition, Shanghai Everbright Group is the largest linear slide and ball screw manufacturer in the whole island. Its short-term goal is to become the world's second-largest ball screw and linear slide manufacturer after THK. Therefore, in recent years, Shanghai Silver has actively expanded its factory buildings and its capital expenditure will exceed NT$2 billion by next year.
