In September, electricity consumption in the whole society increased 2.9% year-on-year

China Drying Network News On October 17, the National Energy Administration released data on electricity consumption in September for the entire society. In September, the entire society used 405.1 billion kWh of electricity, an increase of 2.9% year-on-year.

From January to September, the country’s total electricity consumption was 368.82 billion kwh, an increase of 4.8% year-on-year. According to the classification, the primary industry's electricity consumption was 79.5 billion kWh, a decrease of 0.3%; the secondary industry's electricity consumption was 2702.3 billion kWh, an increase of 2.9%; the tertiary industry's electricity consumption was 428.5 billion kWh, an increase of 11.3%; urban and rural residents Electricity consumption reached 477.9 billion kwh, an increase of 11.6%.

From January to September, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment in the country was 3,439 hours, a decrease of 151 hours year-on-year. Among them, the average utilization hours of hydropower equipment was 2,788 hours, an increase of 416 hours; the average utilization hours of thermal power equipment was 3,707 hours, a decrease of 269 hours.

From January to September, the country’s new power production capacity (formally put into operation) was 41.38 million kilowatts, of which 9.37 million kilowatts of hydropower and 25.82 million kilowatts of thermal power.
