Experts expect: China's auto exports will exceed 500,000 vehicles
According to information from the "Sino-Russian Automobile Market Forum" held recently, China's auto exports have shown rapid growth in recent years. In 2007, the number of exports and the amount of exports are expected to reach 510,000 and 5.6 billion U.S. dollars, respectively.
According to reports, China’s auto exports have been growing rapidly for three consecutive years, of which 334,500 were exported in 2006, an increase of 97.2% year-on-year, and the export value was 3.134 billion US dollars, an increase of 97.8% year-on-year.
The growth of China's auto exports has been significantly higher than that of Chinese electromechanical products, and has become a hot spot for export products. From January to April of 2007, China’s auto exports amounted to 141,800, and the export value was US$1.61 billion. The volume and amount of exports had reached 41% and 51% of the previous year.
According to reports, China’s export vehicles are dominated by commercial vehicles, mainly heavy trucks, large and medium-sized passenger vehicles and special-purpose vehicles, which account for 65% of the export volume of vehicles and 72% of the export amount, while cars, passenger cars and off-road vehicles Exports account for 35% of exports and 28% of exports. However, according to the statistics of 2006 and early 2007, the export of small cars began to increase significantly.
