Recently, BorgWarner has provided a customized DualTronic® dual clutch and control module for the wet dual-clutch transmission (Wet DCT) independently developed by Great Wall Motor using advanced solenoid valves and friction materials. BorgWarner's compact wet dual clutch modules and control modules are based on the concept of improved fuel efficiency and comfortable driving, with adjustable launch characteristics and expandable torque performance, as well as excellent heat resistance. BorgWarner's 7-speed wet DCT clutch module and control module, specially designed for Great Wall Motor, is used in its recently launched WEY and other hot models.

BorgWarner's dual clutch module uses two wet clutches for odd and even gears, enabling ultra-fast shifts in fractions of a second while avoiding significant power interruptions for a more comfortable driving experience. The multi-stage wet friction material with groove design has superior thermal resistance, which effectively increases the torque and ensures reliable operation throughout the life of the clutch. The control module precisely adjusts the clutch and gearbox shift actuators through a compact electro-hydraulic solenoid valve for dynamic performance adjustment. Its compact modular design also greatly reduces the length and weight of the gearbox, further improving fuel economy and reducing emissions.
