The "973" Plan for the first time started the processing of agricultural products
On December 1, the Agricultural Products Processing Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences convened a project kick-off meeting and announced that the national “973†project “The Mechanism of Mycotoxin Formation and Prevention and Control in the Storage of Major Cereals and Oils Products†will be launched in 2013. Implementation. It is reported that this project is the “973†project that was first implemented in the field of agricultural product processing in China. The project funds amounted to 32 million yuan and was jointly implemented by 8 units.
The project chief scientist Liu Yang, a researcher at the Agricultural Products Processing Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, said that China has a large number of people and a small number of people, and the food rigid demand pressure is huge. The agricultural system of the country is doing everything possible to increase production by 1% per year. However, the annual grain loss caused by mildew is as high as 21 million tons, which is more than four times of the annual new grain output. Therefore, solving the problem of moldy mildew in the storage process is a major national need to ensure food safety and people's health in China.
The “973†project launched this time will focus on the country’s major needs and will focus on solving two key scientific issues: First, the mechanism of bacterial population formation and toxin formation during grain storage; and second, the technical foundation for early warning and prevention of toxins during grain storage. .
Liu Yang stated that the project team will clarify the mechanism of bacterial population formation and toxin formation through the analysis of bacterial structure, key genes, and gene regulatory networks; clarify warning and prevention through molecular tagging, model construction, and ultra-sensitive identification. The technical foundation provides a theoretical basis for the establishment of an early warning and prevention and control technology system for fungi and toxins.
