Isuzu announces recall of 2012 N-series gasoline engine trucks


On August 15, Isuzu Motors announced that it will recall some of the 2012 N series gasoline engine trucks produced between April 27, 2011 and July 26, 2011 because of the software of these truck engine control modules (ECM). There is a calibration error. Should the brake pedal switch malfunction or fail, depressing the brake pedal will not cancel the cruise control function.

It is reported that in order to solve the problems that have arisen, Isuzu will inform users and dealers of the free upgrade of the engine control module (ECM). The safety recall is expected to begin in late August or early September 2011.
