Cooper Tire Launches New Sport Light Truck Tire

(October 2008) Cooper Tire officially announced the launch of the new hybrid sports light truck tires - the hybrid technology of the Cooper Zeon LTZ LTZ combines the requirements of the owners of today's SUVs and CUVs, while adding additional vehicle-related features in order to become adaptable All-weather, all-weather tires. In the second race of the Continental Hill Line held on the offroving website, Cooper conducted field tests on this product. In this game, the team’s fully-loaded Land Rover traveled a total of 30,000 miles to Colorado’s four-lane circuit. The trip lasted five days and averaged 600 miles per day along the Continental Line. Of course, Cooper Zeon LTZ tires are used throughout.

“LTZ tires continue the success of the high-performance sports light truck tire Zeon XSTA released earlier this year,” said Hal Gardner, Cooper’s vice president of marketing. “With LTZ, Cooper looks at the off-road market while integrating the sports truck market. Thinking and innovative technology. Compared to the traditional 15-inch and 16-inch all-road tires, Cotu engineers developed LTZ tires with larger diameters, currently reaching 24 inches."

The core of the new LTZ tires is Cooper's unique pattern design, which provides tire field full-vehicle traction to ensure all-day high performance. The double Z design of the tread pattern ensures superior handling and stable traction. The tread mixture containing the silicone material formulation is designed as a tread pattern, the deeper pattern of the central rim is used to maintain stability, and the shallower pattern of the tire edges is used to ensure good wear resistance and superior wetland handling.

The embossed area contains embossed zigzag “grooves” in the pattern to enhance the tread pattern, enhancing handling and all-terrain traction, making it ideal for today's SUVs and CUVs. The computer-designed tread uses special ventilation technology to provide the tire with a fresh, high-quality look.

The Cooper Zeon LTZ tires have a strong black side and are engraved with flip-type letters. This tire will be announced in two phases. Cooper dealers will first sell eight tires that fit into popular SUVs, with a rim diameter of 18-24 inches. The second phase will launch the popular light truck tires in the first quarter of 2009 with a rim size of 16-20 inches. The maximum speed can reach 180 kilometers.
