China Steam Parts (Wenan) Industrial Base Cooperation Project Signing Contract
On October 11, 2010, the signing ceremony of the cooperation project between China Auto Parts Industry Corporation and Wen'an County of Hebei Province, China Auto Parts (Wenan) Industrial Base, was held in Beijing.
Wen'an County is located in Langfang City, Hebei Province, and is located between Beijing and Tianjin. It is located in the center hinterland of “Central Beijing, Tianjin, and Bohai Rim†and is now one of the top 30 comprehensive economic development areas in Hebei Province.
According to relevant officials of the Wen'an County government, the auto parts industry in the county has developed over the years and there are more than 50 existing related companies. The main products are automotive plastic fuel tanks, ventilation ducts, seats, and filters. Fukuda, Tianjin FAW, Shenyang Zhongshun, Hebei Chang'an, Geely Automobile, Shougang Situo and many Other automotive and component manufacturing companies directly or indirectly supporting the products sold in more than 20 provinces and cities across the country, and successfully entered the overseas market.
The contracted China Auto Parts (Wenan) Industrial Base is located in the Wen'an Industrial New Area, close to the Beijing-Kowloon Railway and the 106 National Road. The total planned area of ​​the new area is 6.7 square kilometers, and will focus on the development of leading industries such as auto parts. In accordance with the overall planning and industrial positioning of the new district, Wen'an County and China Automotive Components Industry Corporation have reached agreement on matters related to the construction of industrial bases and signed relevant cooperation agreements.
Chen Kangren, president of China Auto Parts Industry Group Corporation, stated at the signing ceremony that China Automobile Parts Corporation is committed to becoming a world-renowned auto parts integration service provider. In order to improve the domestic auto parts industry and compete with foreign companies, China Auto Parts Co., Ltd. does not produce auto parts, but the construction of industrial bases is one of its six business segments. The company will build platforms to help the relevant industrial bases in the short term.
