CAP1400 nuclear power plant digital instrument control system developed acceptance

The nuclear power plant digital instrumentation control system was successfully developed.

The "CAP1400 nuclear power plant digital instrumentation control system development" project was led by the state-owned nuclear power plant, and was approved by the National Energy Administration in 2013. Through years of independent innovation and research, CNNC has developed a complete Nu series of nuclear power plant digital control products with advanced technology and complete functions, which completely covers all the systems of nuclear power plants.

The prototype of the NuPAC ​​platform standardization based on FPGA technology has been successfully developed, has achieved independent verification and confirmation, and has obtained the administrative license of the nuclear safety regulatory agencies of the Chinese and US governments. In response to the feedback from the "Fukushima incident," NuCON's platform equipment has achieved an overall improvement in its seismic capabilities and information security, and prototype products based on its prototype have been successfully used in public utilities and conventional electricity.

According to reports, Nu series products have complete independent intellectual property rights, reach the leading domestic and international advanced level, and have the ability to directly enter the markets of developed countries in Europe and America. Nu series products will be fully applied to the CAP1400 demonstration power station. The follow-up will be further promoted and applied to the new domestic CAP1000, CAP1400 units or other reactor-type nuclear power stations in the future, fully replace the imported equipment and realize the goal of autonomy. Nu series technical indicators meet the application requirements of the second-generation plus other third-generation nuclear power generation and the next four generations of nuclear power technology. It also applies to other nuclear power plants such as thorium-based molten salt reactors, small modular reactors, and offshore nuclear power platforms. Nu series products can also be applied in other high-end industrial control fields such as heavy-duty gas turbines, large-scale thermal power generation units, smart grids, and wind power.

The successful acceptance of this project is an important milestone in the autonomous operation of the third-generation digital nuclear instrument control system. In the next stage, the state nuclear self-control will rely on the achievements of major national science and technology projects to complete the engineering product of the CAP1400 demonstration power station project.
