Recently, Wärtsilä and Rimorchiatori Riuniti signed a sales contract for the WST-24 full-turn propeller, which will provide a complete hybrid propulsion system for the world's first tugboat with Wärtsilä full hybrid technology. Italy's Rimorchiatori Riuniti is the largest tugboat owner and operator in the Mediterranean region and has a fleet of approximately 100 vessels. For this project, Wärtsilä's products will be delivered to customers in the second half of 2018, and the new tug is expected to be put into use in early 2019.
