Volvo will arrange a reduction in production at Rui, compared to the factory

It is understood that on November 30, 2012, Volvo Car Group announced that in December of this year and next January, Volvo Cars' production plants in Sweden and Belgium will reduce production.

According to the plan, Volvo Cars's factories in Torslanda, Sweden and the University of Ghent in Belgium will increase the number of cut-off days and reduce shifts. On the 51st week that is Christmas Eve, the Toslanda plant will be scheduled to stop production for three working days, and the Ghent plant will be shut down for two days. In addition, on the December production schedule, the Toslanda plant will be reduced by two shifts, and the Ghent plant will be reduced by one shift.

Volvo Car also decided that in the 4th week of January 2013, the speed of the Toslanda plant's production line will be limited to 45 cars per hour. The reduction measures will, to a certain extent, affect the number of agency workers employed in Toslanda's factory.
