Construction Machinery Enterprises Export Heavy Machine Light Fittings

According to Customs data (81 types of construction machinery products are coded, of which 69 are host products, and 12 are spare parts). In the first six months of this year, China's import and export of engineering machinery products was US$8.901 billion, which was a decrease of 27.72% year-on-year. Among them, exports amounted to US$7.291 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 19.05%, which was lower than the national growth rate of exports of mechanical and electrical products by 29.94%, accounting for 0.012% of the total exports of machinery and electronic products; import of US$1.612 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 51.25% (the growth of imports of mechanical and electrical products nationwide 12.09%), which accounted for 0.004% of the total imports of machinery and electronic products in the country; a surplus of US$5.67 billion, which was basically the same as last year.

Import prices of construction machinery increased significantly
The data shows that China has exported engineering machinery to 200 countries or regions, of which 22 countries and regions have exported more than US$100 million, accounting for 62.89% of the total export value of construction machinery.

In the first half of the year, China’s import market for construction machinery was still concentrated in Asia and Europe, of which US$839 million was imported from Asia, down 56.11% year-on-year, accounting for 52.1% of the total imports of construction machinery; import from Europe was US$556 million, a year-on-year decrease of 34.54%. The price has increased greatly compared to the same period last year, reaching 260.76%.

Rapid growth of innovative products for construction machinery

The decline in exports of traditional products, rapid growth in innovative products, the overall host exports remained basically the same. The export of construction machinery includes the whole machine and the parts and components. The host export amounted to 6.14 billion US dollars, an increase of 1.76% year-on-year; the part exports were 1.147 billion US dollars, a year-on-year drop of 61.36%, causing the overall export of the construction machinery industry to drop by 19.05%. Among them, graders, road rollers, cranes, and high-powered bulldozers saw a significant decline; tire-type self-propelled cranes, dredgers, and more than 100 tons of all-terrain cranes, and the rapid growth of crawler excavator exports ensured a slight increase in host exports.

From these data, we can find that China’s traditional technology has a relatively low level of product export restrictions, and high-tech special equipment is gradually being accepted by foreign customers. It shows that although the construction machinery industry is constrained by domestic and international demand for sales, the technology within the industry has been improved. Become consensus and enter the acceleration track to show the effect and lay the foundation for China's participation in international competition.

The heavy weight of the host computer is still serious. Although the export of parts and components has declined sharply in the first half of the year, it should be noted that the exports of bulldozers (bulldozers or side-dug bulldozer shovels) and (hoppers, buckets, grabs, and clamps) have increased by 112.64% and 9.99%, respectively. The supporting industry of structural parts for construction machinery has made rapid progress in recent years. Some of the structural parts companies have gradually entered the international market and have gradually supplied OEM products for foreign counterparts or supplied cross-border component suppliers. At the same time, we must also realize that the path of changing the situation of heavy machinery and light fittings for construction machinery enterprises is a long way to go.
