Aoyang Shunchang disclosed the latest developments in LED epitaxial wafer and chip industrialization projects on the evening of November 8.
The company's LED epitaxial wafer and chip industrialization project was launched in March 2011 and is implemented by Huaian An Aoyang Shunchang Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary.
At present, the civil works have been completed, and 5 MOCVD equipments have been purchased and all of them have been mass-produced. The MOCVD equipment and its supporting chip production lines are gradually running at full capacity. The company's LED business is progressing smoothly, and production and sales are in good condition.
According to the announcement, from January to June 2013, Huai'an Aoyang Shunchang Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd. realized operating income of 4.34 million yuan; in the third quarter, it realized operating income of 10.88 million yuan, and its operating income increased significantly. Although the net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses in the first three quarters was still negative, the single-quarter profit in the third quarter showed the good development momentum of the LED business.
The data show that the current LED epitaxial wafer and chip industrialization project (Phase I) has invested about 200 million yuan. To complete the LED epitaxial wafer and its chip project (Phase I), it still needs to continue investing about 600 million yuan. The company has already On June 4, the non-public offering plan was disclosed, and it is planned to invest 400 million yuan through non-public offering of shares to invest in this project.
The company's expectations for the LED market are improving. The company believes that after a substantial expansion in 2010-2011 and a downturn in the industry in 2012, the industry's capacity expansion will be more orderly and reasonable. The company started to invest in 2012 and partially started production in June 2013, avoiding the poor operating situation of LED epitaxial wafers and chip industry in 2011 and 2012. The company will also order 10 MOCVD equipment in batches. In 2014, after the above equipments are fully put into production, the annual production capacity of epitaxial wafers will reach 75,000. The profitability of the LED business will be further improved and the production capacity will be further improved.
